John and Lynne Chilton are new to the B&B world but have over 25 years experience in managing the successful 'Dales View Holiday Homes' self-catering business. Lynne has skills in catering, accountancy and sales. John has skills in the building trade and self-catering management.

Both businesses are run from the stunning location of Jenkins Garth, the perfect setting for a country holiday with relaxing grounds, stunning views, peace and quiet yet only 100m from the dales market town of Leyburn.

Oak Lodge borders the tourist train line run by the Wensleydale Railway and one of the joys of summer is to see and hear the magnificent steam trains.

Leyburn with its Friday market is a small, vibrant market town, it serves the community of Wensleydale, Swaledale and Coverdale. There are a selection of pubs, restaurants, tea shops, tourist shops, everyday shops and supermarkets. Something for everyone. There are many local attractions some are listed below
